It’s Summer! What To Do?

Today officially marks the first day of summer! (At least for the Northern Hemisphere. Enjoy winter Southern Hemisphere.)

Right now you might be wandering what to do with all this warm weather and I have some examples that might inspire you to do something. So here is a small list of activities one might do over the summer months:

Get Outside

Getting outside when the weather is nice can be really good for a person. If you live in a place that doesn’t get a lot of sunshine during the other seasons, then getting some sunshine isn’t totally the worse thing to do (just make sure you wear some sunscreen!) If you live somewhere really warm and get a lot of sunshine throughout the year, still try to get outside when you can. Staying inside isn’t always a good thing even if you have cooling system. You might get bored.

Travel

This is very similar to the one above because you are most likely getting outside. Summer is a great time to travel to a new location or to the same location that you go to every summer. It doesn’t matter where you go, just go explore the world. And no matter your age, you can still travel to some amazing places that might just be located near you. You might be surprised and learn something over the summer, like a new language or a new favourite place.

Reading

I know this one seems kind of odd but hear me out. Even during the summer months, storms do come through and force you inside for the day but that doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun. I find reading to be a good past time when stuck inside for the day. Maybe have a cup of tea and a cozy blanket with a good book and you are set for life on a rainy day. Also who doesn’t love the sound of rain?

While there are many things to do over the summer months, I hope you are able to find something to do even if you work over the summer months. So don’t let work take over the summer too much and go explore the real or fictional world!

Lots of Love,
Shannon
