New Beginnings in 2019

Welcome to 2019!

It is crazy that it is already a new year and that this blog is officially three years old! Time really does pass on by if one is not paying attention. I hoped everyone had an amazing holiday season filled with happy memories and lots of food. Mine was filled with relaxation and time for reading books.

This past year, I was very inactive with my blog with only one blog post made in the whole year. For this year, I have some new goals for both my life and for the blog.

  • Write More

This year, I plan on writing more for the blog and on a personal level. I do find writing a calming activity and I plan on pushing myself to do more of it. I already have some new blog post ideas but I am always open for new ideas. If you have any and wish to tell me, please leave me a comment!

Reading is one of my favourite pastimes but within the last few years I have been pushing it aside for no reason. However, this year I plan on putting time aside in order to read more of the books I want to read. My reading goal is twelve books, one for each month, and if I read more than that then I will be even more happy for myself. If you wish to track me or create your reading goal, Goodreads is the perfect place for that!

  • Be More Active

I am a very lazy person. I do not have a workout schedule and prefers to be on sofa reading a book or surfing the internet. But I plan on changing that this year. For the beginning part of the year, I am starting off small with a few different ways of getting active, working on getting my step count higher and doing more yoga. As the year goes on, I will continue to challenge myself to stay more active.

  • Happiness

Many changes are happening this year for me. I will be graduating from college and hopefully find a job afterwards. And while this is all happening, I hope that I can continue to find happiness throughout the changes and live the life I want to live it. My motto in life is to find your happy place and while that place can be fictional or not, it always reminds me when the going gets rough, just go to my happy place!

I feel like this year is going to be amazing and with that in mind, I am wishing everyone the happiest new year!

Lots of Love,
Shannon
